Thanks for all the help. I know which fuel pump I would need, but apparently It's not the fuel pump. Put a gauge on the rail test port tonight and got 50psi at key on, stayed 45-48psi while cranking still sputtering and not starting.
Tested a few other times and cranked but no fire. Was...
This is what happens when I keep working on this stuff late at night. I swear I looked over that RPO sticker 10 times and didn't see that. haha. I figured it would be since it was sold in California. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
TLDR: Fuel pump may have kicked the bucket finally — still gotta check fuel pressure to confirm. Trying to find replacement and ACdelco does not have one listed?? That doesnt seem right. I checked rockauto and they have a couple options listed. Since this is a regular LM7 5.3 no e85 or...
If I remember correctly, my 2006 3500 DRW used those mounts you have that I believe are riveted through the frame.
Keep in mind that all of my references are for four-wheel-drive trucks I’ve never owned a 2WD so I can’t comment on what they use.
The mounts you have there look like the ones for the pick up. My 2004 2500 uses these wishbone style mounts for the torsion key crossmember. I believe these are very similar to what the half ton pickups use. But I have not looked underneath to verify.
Most of the second half of that is...
Came across a good deal for a softopper which gives a bit more space for the winter. So far I like it. its a bit tricky to put up when its cold out but once its up its pretty decent. the top of the bed rails are pretty beat up and the front header wall of the bed is bowed as well. so I...
Looks like I missed providing this update....
So right before the little one was born I had a buddy up north pickup a white rear passenger door for me because my dad did a number on it with a gas station pole (oops...)
Was able to get that swapped out since it was already white. It was from...
It's official... rolled over 300k miles!
Sold the old tool box (wasn't using it anymore)
Installed my old tonneau cover from my dually. Guess I kept it around for this occasion. Now I've got some covered storage for this winter. I'll probably replace the bed rail covers as well so it...
Now it seems it’s all a crapshoot. Oe might be less of a crapshoot but honestly if you can rebuild the original that might be better. Use the parts store one in the meantime. FYI my 2000 Silverado 5.3 is original 299k miles and counting. — knock on wood.
interesting LMC list the black trimmed version for the 01-03 3500 model. Maybe the deal swapped them before we got it. we also had load range e 245/75r16 tires on it when the driver door sticker calls for load range C. I have a feeling it might have been used as a parts swap truck while it...
Looking over your pictures again, it appears they removed the stock front crossmember and it was replaced with the aftermarket drop bracket. The last picture I can see where your referring to the cut off piece... I think thats where the passenger side of the oem front crossmember attached to...
This was the picture from when I had my diff pulled out. the only mounts are the 2 bolts on the passenger side to the aluminum bracket (2nd picture), and then the 2 through bolts top and bottom of the differential. That upper mount on the differential is the one that usually gets cut off on...
For gmt800's any lift kit I think under 8" usually the upper mount gets cut off the diff not the frame. at least thats how its usually done -- people have been known to go tweaker and do all kinds of things.
But since your diff is missing, that shouldn't matter. If you find a replacement...
Nice rig. I’ve got an 04, same color. Originally had 8.1. Now it’s bit more how I would have liked it to come from the factory. Nothing against the 8.1. I actually really like that motor. I just like the LBZ more haha. Enjoy that truck. Damn good rigs.
