No pictures unfortunately but over the last three days the passenger front has been squeaking on my 2016. Jacked it up yesterday and found the upper ball joint not tight at all! When I shook it hard enough the ball separated from the socket. Got to looking more and found the rest of the related...

I’m no stranger to it, beat preventative maintenance is on time oil changes for it. Anyways, here’s the new family hauler. I ended up buying the 2016, the dealership with the 2014 could not give me a straight answer on whether or not it sold. And when I spoke to the sales manager he asked me...

I’ll still be around, I’ll probably keep on posting with whatever truck I buy. Right now it’s a tossup between a 2016 LT and a 2014 LTZ. Both similarly priced units and both have similar mileage. I like the LTZ for the creature comforts like heated and cooled seats but it’s not a deal breaker

Well this isn’t the update I expected to give. But I sold Starlight last night. I made money on the deal but I also wasn’t expecting it to sell (posted for higher than I wanted) so fast either. Now I’m looking for something newer that won’t cost me so much while my wife is in school. I regret...

Batteries are both from 2019, system charges at 14.5 at 2k rpm. I’m getting a replacement for the “dead” one today and next week I’ll get the other. Wife’s about to start tech school so I gotta make this seem not so “expensive” to make her feel better lol

Well I noticed Sunday she cranked over good but seemed slower, after work today I noticed it was way slower than Sunday. Did a load test on both batteries and these are the results… I don’t care what anyone says, I’ll trust the analog testers long before a digital one.

Cleaned it up to no avail, sensor looks swelled up too. May have to start looking for spares in parking lots… ;)

Well I guess I need to pull the connector apart on the front sensor and give it a good cleaning and apply some dielectric grease. This morning it never threw an airbag light. Been good all day, hopefully tomorrow I’ll get that done and swap the window regulator

Spent a few days in a Cabin in Broken Bow, I forgot how beautiful it is down here. Definitely a nice change of scenery from northwest Oklahoma. Truck did great with no issues

At the same time I’m replacing the regulator I’m going to swap out the factory rear speakers for the DS18s I have for it. Finally found a set of 6.5” brackets from a non bose truck for the rear doors. Passenger speaker in the rear rattles so I’m pretty excited to be “loud” on all four corners...

Oh I’m no stranger to the task, I’ve done more than my fair share of these lol. The LBZ needed EVERY regulator

Not much happening recently, finally ordered and received my passenger rear window regulator. It hasn’t worked since I bought it and my son is finally old enough now that he’s forward facing and wanting to look out of windows. So I figured now was the best time to fix that for him

Mine is an 05 as well, when my brother went to LKQ I had him look under all the GMT800s he came across and he couldn’t find any that were still there. With how common the issue is I’m not surprised either

Swapped it in! Took all of 5 minutes. I usually dread pulling steering wheels but this one just needed a little love side to side and came right off. All the buttons work too so that’s a plus as some of my old ones were getting obnoxious to use
