Hey guys I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3 and it’s recently had the water pump thermostat and fan clutch replaced. The fan clutch was replaced with a Murray sever duty clutch and it’s working but the truck is over heating at idle with the ac on. Any ideas?

Try spraying out the vanes on the radiator.
Yea, welcome to the forum, from Oregon and it does sound like a radiator flow problem. Radiator vanes/fins laid over? Radiator clogged and inhibiting coolant flow. By the way, why do you say it is overheating? If the vanes/fins are laid over, the hot air will not flow to fan clutch and allow the fan clutch to lock in. Does it ever lock in? Use a laser temp gun and when the thermostat opens, get some temp readings at various points across the radiator surface and post results here.

How hot is it getting? Were all those parts replaced in an attempt to fix the issue?
What is the history with the truck? Just bought it like that? Or was it running good before?
Hook up a scanner and look at what the ECU is showing for the temperature. Maybe somewhere, somehow, sometime someone removed the needles on the cluster and the temperature needle got reinstalled clocked off...stuff like that happens.
