Does any one know why coolant would be leaking down low beside a/c compressor on 2004 6.0

As much as I hate to say it… just cause it’s new doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a problem. Could be a crack or a gasket issue. Do you have access to a coolant system pressure tester? Pressurize the system and see if you can find the leak.

Sorry you're having issues. Like 4silverado said, new doesn't mean good. Most common leak after replacement though IMHO is gaskets. If you did the water pump, did you do just the pump? How'd you remove the hoses? Sometimes you can cause an internal leak inside the hose and it can weep between layers.

Thanks I didn't do the replacement it was done before I bought it
I've had it a couple months now
It does look new the leak is very small drops right between a/c compressor and block all under the water pump looks dry
I will have to take some stuff off for a better look
Love the old truck tho we pull a camper with it
Thanks don't have a tester but doesn't seem to leak any more at temp than cold

You can rent a tester from most auto parts stores. If it leaks most when cold, test it cold.

I had a leak like that on my 99 Silverado... A few weeks ago I had replaced the water pump due to the classic drip from the weep hole.
New leak was dripping into the air compressor and down the rack and pinion.
I put an inspection mirror underneath the heater hose connections and it was leaking there. After a few minutes there was coolant on the mirror. Just needed to tighten the hose clamps.

there is also the steam crossovers that rust badly on the block in front of the intake (or the heads?) behind the air duct/accessories etc.
