Your CCSB is awesome, I really like the green! I don't think I've seen one like yours before, only seen two 8.1L online for sale one was a CCLB that was kind of beat up, think he only wanted 5k and had decent miles. The other was an ECLB dually which was sweet! Low miles but he wanted lots for it haha it was smoking nice

Haha thanks! Yeah, the eclb dually sounds pretty sweet. And mine only has like 110k on it

Nice lol. I was looking at the package here,

http://dmaxstore.com/products/?route=product/product&path=12_149&product_id=61

Seem competitive to you?

Ive used that store for stuff before. Its fairly competitive. i get employee discount, so i dont pay nearly as much for it as the normal customer would. if you have an allison, id look into the package they have with the OE deep pan. You dont need a new gasket, the allison pan gasket is re-useable

Did major servicing today:
  • Oil change (Amsoil XL 10W40, and went to a larger Amsoil EaO24 (5" tall instead of the OEM 3", goes from approx. .5qt capacity to approx. 1qt capacity)
  • Fuel filter (Napa Gold)
  • Cabin air filters (Champion)
  • Windshield wipers (Champion hybrids)
  • Spark plugs (Champion iridiums)
  • Main drive serpentine belt (Dayco)
  • A/C belt (Dayco)
Also got the pleasure of changing one of the heater core hose connectors.
I will admit I was skeptical of using the Champion products, i've heard good and bad things about them. I was pleasantly surprised by the packaging and overall quality and feel of the products. Time will tell on the plugs, but the wipers and
cabin air filters are definitely high quality.

Once I get my new water neck and 180* thermostat, I will be changing the coolant as well.

So i've been running the Champion iridium plugs since late Feb. Since then, in addition to driving all over town, the truck has made 2 trips to Parowan Utah and back, and hasn't skipped a beat. I think it's safe to say that, at least on the 8.1's, the Champions work fine.

Truck has been driving nice. Been picking up some parts for a major repair... Looking to tackle my oil burning issue in a couple weekends. Gonna change the intake manifold gaskets and bolts (ARP660-1010 for those bolts), oil cooler lines, and put some premium protection 10w40 in. As well, gonna pull the valve covers and inspect my valvetrain. It has a pretty bad ticking noise at all rpms at all temps.

Got my intake manifold gaskets and bolts changed a couple weekends ago. Truck runs good, only time will tell if the oil consumption issue goes down
