One more thing. I was looking up LSSV trucks after a post on Facebook spiked my interest and I found this picture

It's hard to see with the crappy quality but those tahoes have factory front d rings. I want them! Some digging later I come across the part numbers I want

Ok, so my buddy is a gov. fleet mechanic, he says those part number's have been superceded now, but he cannot get them, it has to be a Military base that order's them.

With a little thought, I'm pretty sure I can make some, I'll mess with it this weekend in cardboard, then bring some steel into work to see what the guy's come up with in the tool room.

That's a bummer. You'd think since these truck have been available to the public since 2009 you could get parts.

If you do make some I'd consider buying some for sure

Actually yes. I got them installed last night. I did not do keys as in the 2500 trucks they use 1500 keys to lift/level it.
Here's a comparison pic. Both 2500s are to the left of a 1500

I put them in with the help of my friends, the first time we couldn't clock them right and tried to see if it would hold its weight...

It didn't. So then we took it all back apart and flipped the bars side to side and that seemed to be the solution

It sat about 38" on each side (right where I want it) but it settled over night to about 37 3/8" and I'm happy with that. It's 3/8" higher then the rear and still looks good IMO

Here's a pic of the angles

Hey do you have any pictures of what the keys look like in your cross member? Do the t bars stick pretty far out the back of the key and butt up against the back of the cross member?

I didn't get any pics but they are close to that.

Update time!

Drove my friends 01 duramax and noticed it rode way nicer then mine. So I finally threw my blistein 5100s in and it's such a improvement. Most of my shocks were junk (one was bent).

Also chasing a belt squeak I put a new belt, idler and tensioner in and it still squeaks when it's damp out.. [emoji52] not sure what that is

Oh and I bought another truck! This is number six to our family (second under my name). It's a rough 99 2500 ECSB with.... blue interior! I picked it up non running for $600. It needs brake lines, cosmetics, and possibly a new battery. It has the snow plow package (also ex plow truck) and about 178k on the clock. 6.0/80e and I believe 4.10s

Plans are:
-new bed
-new door
-clean up interior
-fix leaks
-new valance
-new lugs on drivers front wheel

Friends 01 duramax and our Honda 400ex wheelers

Not much new. That 99 is junk so that's leaving soon. I did get new tails lights though!

No pics but I bought a magnaflow full exhaust kit. To make a long story short I broke two right manifolds and said screw it and installed my long tube headers. Took me and my friends from about 12pm to 3am the next day fighting everything lmao.

Never buy any magnaflow Exhaust kit. Always take it to a shop lol. It sounds like a tractor and it didn't even fit so I have to redo it..

My brother and I had the same experience with his Magnaflow kit, they made it too generic I think and it takes a lot of work to get it to fit right, we took it to an exhaust shop and they got it perfect, was a struggle to install for us aswell, fitment was awful, should have just taken It to the shop with the kit in the truck bed would have saved us headaches [emoji23]
