Okay, well obviously I'm new here. My name is Josh and I have a 2002 Silverado Z71.. Since that's out of the way, I need some help. The other day I was leaving work, and was going to give a coworker a ride home, no big deal.. Well whenever he went to open the passenger door to get in it wouldn't open, just nothing. Almost as if the doors were still locked. I went over and tried to get the door open, and nothing. I get the truck home, and I try everything I can think of.. I ended up breaking the interior panel just to get more clearance to see, and work. I've tried manually working the latch assembly, but for some reason it will not come open. I have parts truck that is a 2000, so I went and pulled the panel, and practiced opening the door from the inside, which I was able to do, several times with no issues. When I returned to my other truck I tried to open the door the same exact way, but nothing.. I'm stuck, I don't know what else to do. I do know that it is not very convenient to have a passenger door that just refuses to open. Has anybody experienced this, or have any idea what is going on, or how I can get my door open. I have everything on the parts truck that I can swap over, but I gotta get the door open first.. Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance!

My outer handle gets stuck out cuz the return springs broken on that handle, makes it so the passenger can't get out until you reset the handle, did you pull the door apart and look for rods that are disconnected?
