Dead Check Engine Light

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra Z71 and I am not seeing the CEL on initial keyturn or startup. Where can I start to help diagnose and fix this issue? Is it even worth trying to fix, or should I just find a junkyard gauge cluster and hope it's close to the same mileage as the original?

Bulb is probably burnt out. Should be able to replace it, just pull the cluster and should be able to access from the back
