I have finally managed to get my mitts on a truck, with LS power. Can finally check that off my bucket list.

The FarmTrk is:
2002 GMC Sierra SLE
6.0L LQ4
4L80E
4X4
235,000 Miles
Regular Cab
Long Bed

This truck has survived the abuse and neglect of being a farm truck for 10+ years, and deserves to see some care. I have pegged the trans temp gauge on a few occasions, and the engine coolant temp gauge has also been pegged after obliterating a heater-core hose last summer. There isn’t a single body panel that remains straight, which is a plus IMO. This truck will need some TLC, but to me it’s worth it.

The truck is bone-stock, but hopefully not for long.
My plans are:
  • Pull engine and trans for a rebuild
  • Bore and stroke the engine to 408CI
  • Beef up the trans and transfer case
  • If I can find a solid week, pull the cab and bed from the chassis to scrape and paint the chassis
  • Paint the underside of the bed and cab

I have plenty of ideas, but so little time or $...
