Pitman Arm - Does this look right?
4 groove or 3 groove mean that the splines on the shaft of the steering gear and the splines of the pitman arm have a fat spline to help determine where to install the pitman arm. When you take the pitman arm off the steering gear you should have the steering wheel centered and tires pointing...- ORVietVet

Pitman Arm - Does this look right?
If you are doing major steering and suspension work, there are companies that make assemblies of center link, tie rods, idler arm and pitman arm. Less expensive as an assembly than piece by piece.- ORVietVet

Pitman Arm - Does this look right?
I have literally installed 100's of new pitman arms on numerous vehicles, in my 40+ years in shops. I always tightened with a 1/2" impact and hammered it. I have never torqued one down and never had a problem. There is a lock washer with it. Tighten till you cannot tighten any more with a 12"...- ORVietVet

Snap On Tools for sale near me
The lower Snap On box is 54" wide and 38" tall and not sire of depth but is a KRL1001B and all 3 boxes are the older slide type and not ball bearing. It is the deep drawers and not the real old shallow depth. One big drawer from side to side and 5 narrow drawers on left and 5 bigger drawers on... -

Roof problem is minor now, so is best to address now. The very next thing I would do to this truck, is drop the spare tire down and clean up the drop cable and lube the entire mechanism.
