Stutaeng's 1999 Silverado
Mine has an issue with the windshield seal. As I’m driving, I can press on the inside of the windshield, along the top edge, and hear a tone difference in the wind noise. I knew I had a leak, just didn’t know how bad it was.- 4silverado

Another way to see the differences, go onto LMC Truck and order a truck catalog. I use it as reference material for my own truck. They do still send out paper catalogs. It’s easy to flip through the pages and compare part numbers from one series to another. I find it easy knowing ahead of time...- 4silverado

Upgrades.
The bumpers probably mount the same but they are different. That being upper cap, lower airdam, and bumper itself. The top cap dips down in the middle to clear the grill and the driving light are different between the trucks.- 4silverado

Climate Control Backlights and fan speed control are broken
LMC Truck has a kit to repair the back lights. Places like Gaugewerx or Fitts Cluster Repair has exchange service on those controls (both are on Facebook).- 4silverado

Welcome. Southern trucks are also good for no rust. My 04 spent majority of its life in Florida or North Carolina before I got it in 2016. It was rust free when I got it but it’s starting to show slight rust above right rear tire. I’ve only been in Kentucky for about 4 years.- 4silverado

1999 1500 RCLB 2WD Rear Brake Issues
Over time, the rubber brake lines will break down internally. I just ran through a similar issue on front brake thinking it was stuck caliper. Replaced both front brake lines and smoking caliper issue went away.- 4silverado

My new to me 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 ext cab
In the extended cab doors, you can fit 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 round if you don’t mind opening the hole a bit. You just have to watch the mounting depth. I’ve done both in extended cabs. Red is current, gray was last truck. I’ve always used those baffles.- 4silverado
