    New '06 Tahoe Owner

Speakers were really easy. For the fronts I used the OEM bracket as a drill guide. For the rear I mounted the speakers directly to the OEM bracket. None of the doors required me to cut the door card. I also removed the tweeters from the front doors and the D pillars. I got a full install kit...

    Harry Dawg's 2002 Burb-A-Haul

I heartily approve. My Tahoe is my family camp rig. Bought a little harbor freight trailer for all my gear. 3 dogs, two teens, and my wife all ride in the 'hoe.

Hauling VERY heavy with an '02 Tahoe Z71, NEED stiffer springs

The Dorman at least are variable. Not sure about OEM. The original payload capacity is 1600 pounds or so. I would equate 35% as about 2200 pounds. Can't speak on the 2500s. Get tons of conflicting info. Looks like some were coil and some were leaf.

Hauling VERY heavy with an '02 Tahoe Z71, NEED stiffer springs

I suppose you might be able add a set of the nivomat shocks to it. They have built in load leveling for use with a lighter spring. They came stock on the G65 ZW7 RPOs. I have a line on a set if you want to PM me, I'll send the guys details. I was/am looking for a set, but the race car needs the...

Have you looked at ShipStation through PayPal? Rates are excellent.

What have you done to your GMT800 lately?

I've ground quite a few calipers in my day. Usually ones that claim to fit into a 15" wheel and then don't. LOOKING AT YOU, WILWOOD.

These are exactly the big Timbren "bump stops" I was talking about. Kinda. It will if it is unloaded. I doubt you'd need to adjust, but if the front sags too much under load, you're basically adding a little extra spring rate. You'll just have to remove it again when unloaded.

    2007 1500 Classic with 4.3L v6,

They changed the cam profile. Supposedly to make it "quieter". When GM is vague about stuff like that, it makes me very wary of other possible changes. I'm not saying not to do it, just to make sure the parts you do swap on are exact. I would expect that the heads or valve springs would be a...

Ground the caliper down? Or a bolt on wheel spacer?

    2007 1500 Classic with 4.3L v6,

The cam is definitely different in the '99 4.3. If you do decide to go that route, please document it for others.

Hauling VERY heavy with an '02 Tahoe Z71, NEED stiffer springs

First, any overloading is obviously at your own risk and subject to your local laws. On a Tahoe there's not much room back there for aftermarket air stuff. If you're going that overloaded and you want simple bolt in stuff, an Air Lift 1000 kit and some Timbren "springs" which are basically big...

    2007 1500 Classic with 4.3L v6,

I would suggest staying with the 2003-2006. Those are the years the LU3 was produced and used the same electronics, and should be a direct replacement. Earlier 4.3s may work, but they have a different cam and fuel injection system, possibly other nonsense. You never know what you may run into...

    Solved -Normal scan tool values

MAF codes, a long term fuel trim in the +20% range, and a random cylinder misfire suggests an intake manifold air leak.

What have you done to your GMT800 lately?

I jacked up the front end to loosen the torsion bars. Found that they were tightened all the way. Checked the front suspension while I was under there.
