Inconsistently odd fuel delivery issues (I THINK?)

Throttle body moves fluidly through its total range. Anyone else have any odd ideas? Like, what could trick the fuel pump into thinking the key is no longer in the 'RUN' position, or something odd like that? Odds are I'll buy a fuel pump and a new mallet this coming weekend, but I want to rule...

Inconsistently odd fuel delivery issues (I THINK?)

I change the fuel filter annually, so that's unlikely but possible. What else ... Which makes me wonder about the electrical 'command gates' that would 'tell the fuel pump to shut down'. In other words, is my fuel pump receiving a lie that causes it to think I'm no longer driving on the highway...

    Engine hours meter reset question

Spit take. The engine hours being unreliable forces it to become a non-issue. A reliable measurement of engine hours is as important as the odometer, possibly moreso.

Inconsistently odd fuel delivery issues (I THINK?)

Should be ok to replace MAF & throttle body with cleaner spares, then. Thanks, will do today or tomorrow (lucky enough to be able to borrow a '12 Caprice PPV 6.0L by Holden). Please keep the suggestions coming, and thank you @99Sierra2500!

Inconsistently odd fuel delivery issues (I THINK?)

Over the past year, my '02 Tahoe Z71 has SOMETIMES suffered the following IRREGULARLY INTERMITTENT symptoms: *When I step on the throttle, I get nowhere near the expected acceleration, like maybe late 80s 4.3L V6 acceleration at best? If I initially get the expected acceleration, it peters out...

    Question about LCA jounce/bump stops

No idea what 'FSR' stands for? Jounce bumpers are meant to be in contact with the suspension through most of the compression arc, in our case when the suspension is compressed enough to be considered 'loaded'. My GUESS is the Z71 jounce bumpers would be somewhat stiffer than the non-Z71, but not...

Hauling VERY heavy with an '02 Tahoe Z71, NEED stiffer springs

I'm GUESSING Hummer H2 rear coils springs would be too stiff? or too tall? or both? for even my Tahoe, simply because of how much heavier an H2 is compared to a Tahoe? Guessing because there's kerb weight data, but there are no spring rate data available for any GMT800 vehicles, so far as I...

Return style fuel system on a 2005

Can't say off the top of my head if there's a P59 pcm or operating system that works with a return system segment, but frankly I'd be surprised if there wasn't at least one available from GM OE, just need to find a thorough tuner.

Return style fuel system on a 2005

Not sure, but I THINK there is such a thing as a P59 pcm that can support mech cable throttle & return fuel system. Should be blatantly obvious that there are earlier P01 pcms that support mech cable throttle & return fuel system.

    Bump Stops

Want to use as liberal an interpretation of the concept of 'GM OE' as possible to increase my front spring rate, among many other things. Prefer to use GM OE over aftermarket whenever / wherever possible. Goal is a 6.0L, 4.10-axles GMT821 that can be both a PPV AND an SSV at once, using 'GM OE'...

    Bump Stops

Is it possible to combine the use of both the 1500 & the 2500 bump stops on the front of a Tahoe?

    Diff Leak

If the leak is slow enough that it does not drip, isn't it a form of rust protection?

    Greetings! Newbie here.

Looks like he effected some conversion on the front as well. Some of us 1500 types don't know what SAS stands for ... ? (In any case, sometimes I wonder why GM never bothered making a Tahoe-2500, but then I remember, GM concluded that the GMT360 TrailBlazer was hurting Tahoe sales, and killed...

    Greetings! Newbie here.

Most people can't tell the difference between a Suburban 1500 & a Suburban 2500 - some even after being forced to stare at the wheels and the rear suspension. Come to think of it, a Tahoe has more in common with a Suburban 1500, than a Suburban 1500 has with a 2500.

    Can’t Run Headlights in Daylight

See the 'Dome OverRide' button? Once you learn how to double-tap that button properly, do that whenever you want to operate that switch as you like. Til you learn how to double-tap the 'Dome OverRide', your headlights will respond to ambient light as they do. There is a way to trick that sensor...

    I need tires

https://www.gmt800.com/threads/my-02-tahoe-z71-helped-me-do-a-good-samaritan-deed-today.9440/ The auxiliary NYPD's Chevy Express wore 'comfort, ride quality, low noise' tires, and managed to get utterly stuck in ONE INCH of (goopy) mud. Had my Z71 been wearing anything less than Sumitomo...

    Tire calculator

Although I'm not Canadian, discovered this one first: https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator3 Worth noting, schidtload of 'angelfire' calculators that I'd bookmarked no longer work, from simple tire calculators, to axle/tire/road/engine speed calculators, gone.
