That 5 seconds is your fuel pump priming and getting your fuel system to optimal fuel pressure, ideal for cold starts or if the vehicle has sat for a little bit
You can hear the pump priming with the key ON (not START)

Can’t replicate the issue, cranks and starts completely normal now. Cleaned up the starter anyways. Thanks for all the help we’ll see how the next few days go
makes sense.. solenoid is on top and looks a little cleaner?
didn't ask him how, but i know he didn't clean it all up and put dye in the oil or do anything like that.. used his trained eye i guess
mechanic (i trust) confirmed it's rear main seal last time he did the oil change on it after I asked him to look it over and confirm where it's coming from. but i suppose it could be from somewhere else harder to see
oil leak has been about 3/4 of a quart 2000 miles in.

Okay definitely wasn’t the battery.. problem persists and was worse after an hour drive
What other items can i diagnose today?

Drove another 45 minutes, shut it down, fired right up perfectly. So strange
