I havent had the time to get back to the wiring harness. But i did manage to take my short block to the machinist today using a friend's Jeep. yessir. I did not remove the harness fully. I stopped right around the firewall before going to the NSS. Good information on the NSS, If i had gone that far back I am certain i would have broken it. ;). I will be sure and check out the transmission speed sensor while im at it. Haven't done much lately. I loaded my short block of the trailer to get ready to haul to the machinist on Friday. Hopefully will have it back within 2 weeks. Correct. We are on the same page. The CEL illuminated on start-up, went out, then came back on and then continued to flash indefinitely. Which lead me to pulling the code.- Mikloangelo

Honestly I hadn't drove it enough to notice any noise. It had sounded normal to me, or at least i didnt notice anything. Maybe this attributed to my misfire P0300 misfire code and it running rough. Luckily I had told my daughter if you see an engine light or hear something abnormal stop driving...- Mikloangelo

When I pulled out the lifters, only one had abnormal wear. It looks pitted. It definitely ate into the lob on the cam.- Mikloangelo

Finally got my new engine stand and it was Chinese crap, so I ordered a quality one and don't regret it. I decided to break it in right away and throw the block on it and strip it down to the short block. As much as I didn't want to, I'm going ahead and doing the full send and doing the bottom...- Mikloangelo

My engine stand is coming in Monday so I opted to degrease my engine bay and power wash it out. Still could use more. But for now it's good. Thinking about getting POR-15 to paint the frame. I agree. Everything a solid color is terrible. I do like the raw mill look on the heads. Unfortunately mine were already painted silver. I'm not a Chevy orange fan myself but I may make the exception if it's just the block.- Mikloangelo

She's out boys! I ordered the best (cheapest) Chinese cherry picker and engine stand that amazon had to offer. The cherry picker seemed to be okay, but the hardware was definitely Chinese trash. Bolt heads stamped incorrectly or not at all, but was still able to use them. The engine stand box...- Mikloangelo
