I’m having an issue with my transmission when starting the truck.

That sounds odd! Year, motor, and transmission type please? I think we will find the answer on Nick Transmissions Youtube channel. He comes in and helps us a lot in the GMT400 forum.

    Stutaeng's 1999 Silverado

Sanding scratches are really hard to remove and will pop on final paint. 120-180 with a DA sander will help prevent that. 80 can leave scratches behind that that you dont see until the final clear coat. It works for us, if your method works good do it, you might have us beat on the learning curve.

Not an expert, but done a bit of this if you want to look though the 55 build post on here. I would not use 80 grit, 120 and a DA sander. And we also only block wet sand once and with 600.

    Spindle swap

Is it frowned upon to weld on steering components? Yes. Do we do it anyways? Yes. I have never had a failure, or crack, or close call. I say, don't fabricate your own steering parts unless you know what you are doing, and most of these guys know 10x more than me.

My wife's Yukon has been doing great this winter with the ice tires I put on, running in 2x most of the time. These are really great machines.

Trying to wrap this project up this year, life is not helping. Major house repairs, boy was working out of town a lot, father-in-law passed away last year, and now my mom has cancer. We are doing what we can when we can. Trying to get these doors done but we messed up on the last spray and had...

Electric Radiator Fans Randomly Turning On When Ignition Is Off

My dad had a Cadillac that would do that randomly in the middle of the night. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but its a module or the PMC that signals the relay after it gets info from sensors and the module is at fault.
