    Back in 2017, I got this eraser wheel off of Amazon for $10.49 including shipping. It worked great on the remnants of tape on the tail gate, the side molding tape, and the pinstripes. And it was a whole lot cheaper than the 3M wheel and does the same. Still have it.

    Where the kid had replaced the radiator cover with one off of Amazon , the new one did not come with a belt routing picture. Local sign shop made this one and it’s stayed in place after cleaning the area with an alcohol prep pad.

    I checked DMM and it was barely keeping it at 12. I stopped and picked up a new alternator and on way home watched the voltmeter slowly drop to 9 volts before the truck shut off and wouldn’t restart. Ended up changing it on the side of the road and after jump starting it, it’s been running fine...

    I think I answered my own question. Back when I got the truck, I’d run through all the RPO codes in the glove box. Mine has K68 > Generator 105 amp.

    Is there an easy way to tell if truck has the 105 or the 145 amp alternator? 04 Silverado 1500 4.8L LS 2wd Pulled positive cable off while running and truck died. Battery is maybe couple months old.

    Cig lighter and DLC off with key mod

    I replaced the cigarette lighter with a dual USB-A and wired it to one of those fuse taps into the fuse box on the left side of the dash. I made sure that the fuse I used was ign hot.

    Got some maintenance done today. Last time the battery was replaced was back in January 2019, Advance Auto Parts Silver. It was nearing time for replacement. Replaced it with a Walmart Everstart Plus (2 year warranty).
