Little details on that: "P" stands for "phase". The P terminal is connected to one of the stator phases, upstream of the rectifier; this is why you get an AC signal. It was used by older diesels (that didn't have engine computers) to run the tachometer.- JorgeS

I had a 1999 Accord. Parking brake cable sheath cracked, allowing water in the cable, and it froze. I bought a replacement at Advance Auto; the sheath cracked as I was installing it - I returned it. GM made a LOT of GMT800s. They ran from 1999-2006 (some lower volumes even later), 7 years, making between 1.2 and 1.8 million per year; probably over 11 million total. Interesting... does yours seem to do it more frequently with passing time? Mine does not seem to be getting worse (doing it more frequently), but it is hard to tell. I may try to keep track of when it does it. Last time it was around Jan 4th. Thank you.- JorgeS

I would go with the Auxito LED 3157 replacement recommended above. I've had 7W LEDs (I don't remember the brand, bought 2+ years ago) and they work pretty well. LEDs will put out 8x-10x the light per watt compared to the OE bulbs, so they can really increase rear lighting. I also installed LED... -

I'm not sure I miss my 1972 Ford Maverick with the 200 CI I6. Let's see... plugs and points every 10,000 miles, rebuild that one-barrel carb every two years (or less)...haha - the good old days? I think that's why this forum exists. We have vehicles that have the reliability of higher quality... -

Not just technical schools, high schools also. My high school (Lane Tech in Chicago) had MANY shop classes. Many could be taken all four years, including double-period Auto Shop, Machine Shop, etc., in 3rd & 4th years. A co-op plan was available, sort of like an apprenticeship. One of my friends... -
