    EVAP P0446

Decided to dig in a little more - I might be changing my plans. Looked at the scan from O’Reillys again - it actually suggested starting with the tank pressure sensor. FYI - the guy in this video is slightly unhinged!!

If that doesn’t do it it’s probably the tank pressure sensor.

Plan on doing new purge valve, vent valve & gas cap. I’ll probably blow out the lines and clean the charcoal canister as well. Is there a special tool to disconnect the hoses?

Some good info here - both in the video and in the comments.

    EVAP P0446

Check engine light came on this morning. Code P0446 - EVAP. Online I’m seeing mixed starting points on this 1. What do you all suggest? First time driving it on a cool morning in Indiana - guessing this Texas truck didn’t know what to do with this dense Indiana air! 2003 suburban 174k.

Upper intermediate shaft and Wolff bearing installed today = big improvement. Going to take it for an alignment next week & going to ask them to also adjust the steering box. Thinking a little adjustment will likely take out the remaining slop.

Sounds like a good plan! I used the cerakote headlight restoration kit last week (1 kit did all lights front and rear) - very happy with how they turned out. I also have the cerakote plastic trim restoration kit, haven’t had a chance to try it yet.

Went looking for pictures of your suburban - they are identical. Plans seem similar too. This was my end goal before I bought mine: This is a screen shot from a Suboverland video - almost went to Idaho to buy from them but the 1 we got in Texas was a better fit. Have you painted your wheels...

We found it on marketplace. 175k. We have some camping trips planned and I have several hunting and fishing trips in mind, looking forward to seeing where it takes us.

I didn’t. Thinking I could use a new upper intermediate shaft?

Ball joints were shot. Plan to install the Wolff steering column bearing tomorrow when it comes in and an alignment later this week. I had my doubts about it needing all these parts but it did! Interesting enough the lift/level it had before isn’t enough now - the control arms must be slightly...

From what I’ve went through so far the tie rods are worn out and the idler assembly & pitman arm were on their way. This is going to the improvement I was looking for - plan to finish tomorrow.

Good call for next time! I live in a town that had a Delphi plant (had many family friends that worked there).

Parts came in…ac delco gold parts are made in China?!? Guess it’s been awhile since I’ve worked on a Chevy.

All the parts should be here by the end of the day - hope to get this project done by the end of the long weekend and have it aligned next week. Are there any good resources for the torque specs for these front end components?

Its the really light tan. I think it’s the lightest color leather available.

Not having any luck. Are the second row seats out of a Tahoe and a crew cab truck the same as a suburban?

Thinking I will bite the bullet and do a complete overhaul of the front end. Here’s the parts list I have so far: Am I missing anything?

Got it the best I could after the lift. Had the floating feel before the lift too.
