    performance information

I will kick off this thread, for a cam swap make sure you have a good intake and exhaust system( headers included, they will really help you take advantage of all that the cam has to offer ) next the cam ( lol ) followed by a good set of aftermarket valve springs ( comp, GM perf. division...

    Methanol/water systems

Unless you are driving a diesel vehicle the money for a meth system on a stock application is useless, you would get better results from a cold air intake and a cat back before a meth system for roughly the same amount of $$$.

    5.3 headers

My first set they sent me had a 1/8th pin hole around the flange that leaked terribly, then they sent me new ones and let me keep the old ones. Now I have a new repaired set Of LT's to use for my next swap project

    Best place to mount switches

What type of switches are you going to be running? N2o? Cab lights, aux switches, rockers, toggles, push button, dual arming switches, mini switches, are they going to be in plain sight or do they need to hidden?

    5.3 headers

My long tubes are from Texas Speed, they are "OK" but the matching ORY was super awesome, Kooks will be my next pair with new motor

    5.3 headers

I don't do the whole face book thing sorry

    5.3 headers

Have you made a choice yet on headers? If not, shorties are your best bang for your buck for DD, towing, mud, modded motor, something better then stock flowing to help compliment a cat back, but not super radical like long tubes that would require more time and effort to install verses a bolt on...

    Column gauges for 1500 5.3L?

Here's how I did my triple gauge install, they are quite discreet and no on any wiser looks up in the headliner. Plus I like being stealthy with my truck, after all it is street sweeper ;) You can also buy a single column pod that sits right atop of the steering column and looks super...

Vibrations at 45mph and then at 65+mph

Do you feel the vibs through the steering wheel? Or do you feel them in your butt as you drive?

    Exhaust setups and clips

Yea, I had a set of tires like that before on one of my other builds, but a simple cam swap solved the noisy tires an gave way to noisy exhaust lope lol

    Exhaust setups and clips

I hate mine, I want to get rid of it soo bad, it sounds like dookie under medium throttle, it sounds nasty as hell tho on camera and in cab, but it doesn't have the " sound " I'm searching for, plus it " raps " alot

    Exhaust setups and clips

It's actually got 4:56 gears Sorry no rev clips...I will try to work on it, but how about some teasers instead 35-100 on stock Converter 60-110 on stock converter Since those vids I have installed E-Fans, and 3200 Single disc Billet converter :) Makes those vids look super...

    need help quick

To make it work I would invest in some GM perf.parts LS6 valve springs to help out with the "small" amount of lift that the cam will offer, plus the GMPP are good to .550 lift and cheap as well. The lifters will require you to pop off the heads, needing new head gaskets (2x) and head bolts( one...

ls1 vs 6.0 swap pros and cons?

I'm a fan of no replacement for displacement, so every chance I can buy a 6.0 for anything I do. Pros of a 6.0 Factory 4" bore, full floating rods (LQ9), High Compression Hypereutectic pistons (LS2/LQ9), .020 over sized on some select models for more HP. Cons: Cast iron blocks (...

Anyone have a cam on their 6.0?

Let me see if I can answer your cam questions here. I have built a wide varity of LSx motors from cars/trucks/boats and for retro-fits from 4.8's to skies the limits sizes. Soo if I correct any ones messages on here, I mean no harm by it, I'm just trying to shed some light as this is a widely...
