    Starter stays cranking!!

I'm going to investigate the Neutral Safety switch and it's connections this afternoon when he gets home. Plus I'll look for any other exposed connections as well. Found this diagram and I'm betting the problem lies within.

    Starter stays cranking!!

nope, never had a remote start. and I have only checked the connections around the parts I've replaced. Where else should I look?

    Starter stays cranking!!

I'm trying to get to the bottom of an issue with my Dad's 03 GMC 1500HD. Problem is, usually the first start or after it's been sitting, you turn the key to crank, but the starter remains engaged without actually firing the motor. It will just keep cranking unless you turn the key off...

89* isn't hot, according to heater controls

found the issue! there's a cabin temp sensor that can go bad apparently...it's located above the driver's head, looks like a little speaker. $25 for an ACdelco replacement on Amazon, good as new!

89* isn't hot, according to heater controls

I have the dual climate controls in my 04, and for some reason it only blows hot air when it's set to 90 degrees. if I lower it to 89, no more heat...passenger and driver side are the same. with winter coming, sure would be nice to find that happy medium between cooking and freezing...lol Any...

    "Play" in seat backs

yes, i've checked every bolt i could get to and they all were nice and tight. I believe you're right about the mechanism. I can see the "rod" that moves the seat back position, move around a little when i wiggle the seat back. It's probably not worth tearing into, but just one more thing on...

    "Play" in seat backs

my truck has the LT package with leather and fully adjustable front seats. However, there is about 1/2 to 1" of slop or play in the seat backs. The bottoms stay firm but i can push from behind on the seat back and wiggle it back and forth... It's annoying when I'm driving and i can see the...

    MPH, RPM, GPS discrepancy

They read right at zero, maybe the speedo needle tip is slightly below actually. The previous owner had the instrument cluster replaced, due to the classic stepper motor problems. Is it possible it wasn't calibrated correctly?

    MPH, RPM, GPS discrepancy

so I've noticed that my speedo reads 2-3 mph faster than what the GPS app says on my phone. doesn't seem to matter if I'm going 45 or 75, always reads 2-3 mph faster. I've checked the GPS app in comparison to a vehicle that i know has an accurate speedo (fire engine), and it reads dead on. So...

    Headliner sag

wow I can't thank you enough for taking the time to type all that! You definitely make it sound like a do-able task, and with any luck I can have it done on my weekend without dropping a few hundred bucks. What do you recommend, if anything, to help hold the board to the metal roof? I see that...

    Headliner sag

apparently most of the cost is the removal and installation of the headliner itself. If i knew how to remove a headliner from a crew cab without pulling the back glass, i would. but sounds like a nightmare and i'm not sure i can keep it to a weekend project...I know how these things go, always...

    Headliner sag

if the headliner material (felt?) is separating from the board, and you apply glue, i think it'll seep through and look bad... I got quoted $500 by an interior shop to completely remove the headliner and recover it...i'd really like to not go that route, only because i plan to upgrade to a...
