I don't know anything about automatics but thats good you got that old 6.0 back on the road. Well I found a place that sells a bell housing with an external slave bracket and cylinder so I can use my standard flywheel and pressure plate. it's just a typical bell same as what I have but with the opening for the fork and bosses for the bracket. I do not know why Advance Adapters insists on using a bell that's got to have their custom made flywheel with it. The standard 6.0 flywheel I bolted up to the 5.3 fits nice and tight but not too tight to the block, 1/4" from the seal cover bolts in the block. And it's only an inch thick. I keep reading that the LS crank is so far back that they need to offset the flywheel out .400', but my problem is there's not enough room in that bell for everything. (internal slave being 3 1/2" long) In fact, this bell Novak has can even be used with a mechanical fork. (non hydraulic) Which is tempting. Maybe some other time I'll put one of those in it. Right now I do have a good master cylinder mounted on the firewall to use. BTW the name of the place is Novak, they're in Utah so it looks like I found what I need but will let you if theres more to the story
