Names Josh, live in central Arkansas. This is my daily work truck that tow daily with and like to use it for fun after work. Its a 2001 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4 with the 6.0L and 4L80e. I'm planning to make it a versatile/exploration type rig with reliability and strength in mind.

Here are pics from the day I bought it and brought it home. Also in the pics is my 88 C1500 which I may make a build thread on later.

List of Possible Future exterior mods
Bilstien 5100 shocks
Small lift (maybe 4")
Roof rack with some build in LED pods
Road Armor bumper with brushgaurd and LED lighting
Retrofit some headlights and replace tailights
possibly chrome door handles and billet grill

possible future Performance mods
Custom tune from GPI
Magnaflow mufflers
long tube headers
cam
cold air intake

Should I get carried away and have to buy yet another daily to replace this, I would really like to do a rebuild on the 6.0L and do a power adder. Havent decided on a pair of small snails or a SC, but i have at least 5 yrs to decide.

Then I got some new wheels and tires since the tires that were on it were bald and dangerous in the rain pulling a trailer.

Today I replaced the leaky radiator with a new lifetime warranty one from Oriellys. While I was at it I went ahead and installed a the biggest transmission cooler they had. It was a Hayden and it fit pretty good in the stock location using the stock mounting holes and nothing to cut, not even the factory lines. Here are pics from the install. If anyone wants more details feel free to ask.

Pulled front end apart which as we all know is pretty easy. Notice the puny factory Transmission cooler mounted in the front middle.

New vs Old. I was impressed to see that this radiator came with all new fittings, retainers, hose clamps, and mount bushings.

New one mounted to factory holes using zip ties pulled really tight.

I used some spare rubber hose on the bottom for a little protection and makes it a nice snug fit between the original brace and the condenser.

Here is the cooler all done. The hose that came with it said it was 3" bend minimum so I went this route with loops because the factory trans cooler hard lines are at a higher point than the new coolers outlets, but the line up almost perfect. Later when im back in there adding a small electric fan I will cut the hard lines shorter and reflare. Then I will plump it to the cooler with a couple 3" peices of hose to eliminate the loops.

How much did that trans cooler run you?

Any noticeable temp difference? I had mine over 200 the other day with my heavy 37s and towing a trailer with a mower on it. Wasnt too happy with how hot it was getting

Thats pretty impressive even without a load. I got one from a buddy but its more of a horizontal one, so I havent decided how to run the lines for it.

I've always thought that my stereo sounded really good for being factory. Today I found out its not factory. At some point someone swapped out all the speakers for Memphis audio components. SWEEEET!!
