I finally got my retro done and the truck cleaned up for some pics of my projector retrofit. I used mini h1 projectors and 5500k bulbs from www.theretrofitsource.com

i did mine same way had to cut top and bottom of the shroud and paint it black since the chrome rubbed off yours look really good

I had to cut the top and bottom of the shrouds as well.

I just made it so close to the housings so it sort of seals it back up.

try buying those small strip of leds from autozone and put them in the housing part you had to cut i did mine like that couple months ago and made the demon eyes in green looks sick ill try to get a picture

For those of you who might be thinking of just dropping in a set of housings with HIDs built in, here's what you can "look forward to" as far as beam quality goes.

Pretty horrible pattern with dark spots in your beam output right where you want the light most. I'm taking these out and doing a proper retrofit, akin to what 19trax95 has done.

These are the assemblies I purchased, which required drilling pretty large holes (1" or so) in the radiator frame to fit them, and even at that they fit very poorly. You have to really work the headlight housing locking pins around to get them in. Pretty much junk.
