Well after almost 6 months with this truck I have finally worked up the motivation to post a build thread for it on here. I picked up the truck locally here in Edmonton and sold my 2004 ext cab. Just to recap here is my old truck when I sold it.

And here is my current truck when I got it.

I did a few little things just to clean it up a little and make it my own. I removed the factory step bars and added a power lock to the tailgate. Repainted the a-frame behind the grille as you can see above all the paint was gone from becoming too hot I'm guessing. I also replaced the rusty rear bumper.

I replaced a couple of the handles that were sticking and also installed the ISGM655 Bluetooth adapter for the radio.

The picture above sparked a full led conversion inside and outside. No pictures for these but this also included led signal lights. These are all high quality GM specific LEDs from hidkitpros.com. Don't ask me how much they cost cause it makes me cringe.

The interior dash lights are a work in progress and I'm doing one piece at a time kinda just whenever I get bored. So far I have the cluster and climate control done.

Replaced the bumper lights because the orange pissed me off.

Installed MBRP cool dual exhaust a few weeks ago. This kit is for a 2500 6L because there are no half ton exhausts made for the Denali (which has the 6L but with the 5.5ft box unlike the 2500). But everything lines up just like it should so I'm not sure why all the exhaust manufacturers that I called told me none of their exhausts would work on my truck.

That is where I am at today. I know I am forgetting things. No more huge plans for it as of yet. I am currently working on a sub box and amp rack to fit behind the back seat. I move away to go to school in January for 2 months and I won't be needing my truck daily so that is when I plan to really tear in to the dash leds and get everything done.

Cheers

Looks great. Not a huge fan of complete black exterior but I understand how denalis came and yours can pull it off great

That's a great looking truck. Pretty much exactly what I want to buy.

Only the past month or so I have been working on this enclosure to fit behind the crew cab seats. My setup is currently this

GM-D9605 pioneer 5 channel amp powering 2 pioneer slim 10s and 4 kicker ks series speakers in the doors.

I'm not convinced I like the speakers yet but the subs sound great. If anyone is interested in dimensions for the box or any details at all on the box I took pictures of the entire process so I can help you out.

Also snagged some c style tail lights locally

I ended up finally biting the bullet and picked up a set of focal ps165s components for the front doors. I am not disappointed. These are great speakers that can handle a lot of power and volume without clipping.

Picked up a matching 3rd brake light and found some clear Denali headlights locally. Probably gonna work on a retrofit on my other headlights over the summer now maybe.

Looks good, I am jealous! When we first moved to TX there was a used one sitting on the Ford lot. Sat at like $13-14k, just couldn't talk myself into it, they dropped it down to $11k and it was gone almost immediately. I still kick myself! Now looking at yours makes it even worse. haha

It appears I have been neglecting this thread for a little while to say the least, but I am back with a few updates.

A few photos of it when I got it detailed in the summer.

I put new tires on it after getting a nail in a sidewall. Courtesy of my job [emoji847]. Went from a 275/55r20 to 275/60r20 KO2s. Almost regretting not going with 275/65r20s. Also, the price difference between 275s and 285s is retarded!!!

I'm not sure if I touched on this before, but I threw a corvette servo in and decided to be cheap and get a superchips tuner. Ya ya, I know Blackbear is the way to go. Maybe one day.

I put some 2015+ style tow mirrors on and color matched them.

Put some new brakes on. And some mgp Denali calipers covers.

This is the most up to date photo I have of it, and it was a couple months ago!

Next plans are new HIDs and some morimoto mini 7.0s. As soon as I can get my hands on some Denali adapter plates. Thinking about doing them in these headlights since my current headlights are broken. Of course I would be removing the ricey halo bullshit.

I also plan on replacing the mufflers with a single dual in dual out magnaflow 4x9x14. Bored of my current mbrp setup.

Then, I'll probably hate myself enough to do some sound deadening, when I can no longer hear myself think after the magnaflow goes in [emoji16] this will probably wait until spring though, too cold outside and my garage is hardly truck friendly.

I think that about covers it for now. Cheers [emoji1366]

Looking good, I came across a black 2006 Sierra Denali back when I first moved here to TX and regret not buying it.

And for what it is worth, I have a 3" Magnaflow on mine and it isn't too bad at all, and mine is dumped right off the muffler.

Dumped after the muffler is exactly my plan, tired of looking at beat up tail pipes all the time. Any idea what size your muffler is? The one I'm looking at is the smallest muffler magnaflow makes in a dual in dual out application.

It's tough to find a box for a crew cab 01
GMC 2500 hd. I'm researching a sub box with 4 8"' subs ported, what are the measurements of your box? I'm hoping to squeeze something in the same area. Thanks
