Adding foot well lighting on 03-07 classic

I just posted this on TYF. I hadn't realized foot well lights were only on the 99-02, even though I have a 99 Silverado and an 06 suburban. I think I'll order the sockets and add these lights. Seems pretty easy.

I ordered new LED bulbs for the side markers, and it was a pack of 10, so I need to put them to use anyways. Same light bulbs.

This is my how to write up on installing foot well lighting in 99-07 Classic GMT800 pickups. Now I believe GM stopped putting in these lights after the 2002 model year, but most trucks still have one or both brackets under the dash for the lights. More than likely you will have the passenger side...

As big as I am at 6'4" tall and 280 pounds, as long as the seat is all the way back, I don't need to see. But my girl would love this. I will not let her see this thread.

I popped in some of the LED lightbulbs on my 99 Silverado. The passenger side bulb was burnt out. Much better. (Side note: I also did the oil change and really struggled to reset the change oil message. Doh! I don't drive this truck much anymore. I think I finally figured out tho: you press the gas pedal 3 times, but really fast. I was pressing slow...)

I'm waiting for the sockets and wire to do the upgrade on my suburban...stay tuned.

Also, I made some birria. Beef with a bit of goat mixed in for added flavor. Pico de gallo, salsa verde and salsa habanero. Life caint be gooder.

The oil change reminder reset should be: KOEO, push gas pedal ALL THE WAY to the floor 3 times within 10 seconds, and then turn key off. Should be reset then.

Nothing beats KC BBQ. IMO. Arthur Bryant's BBQ or my 3.5 to 4 hours smoked pork ribs. I use a custom dry rub that only my girl knows about. My youngest brother still lives in KC, Mo. and he has his own dry rub and he is part of a BBQ team that travels to BBQ events that are around KC.

footwell lighting is a MUST if you have just a dome lamp in the center of the cab (my extended cab is like this.. nothing else) esp with a dark interior
I cheated and put a 3157 socket hanging from the ceiling



Till i get more courtesy lighting in there, this will do

I have leds in my map and dome light. matter of fact the entire truck is led.
