Nothing special here. Started out in high school and loved photography. My draft number was 2. My dad was in the NAVY during Korean war and so I decided to join NAVY. I got lucky and because of my photography training, worked at a small town newspaper in Mo. during high school, the NAVY put me on the USS Kitty Hawk CV63 right out of boot camp. Almost 3 years of war and the rest in peace time. Got out and I was a professional drinker. NAVY teaches you good at that. My uncle, in Paradise, Ca., was an aircraft mechanic in the Korean War and had his own auto repair shop in Paradise and he put me to work and taught me, so I would not drink so much. He said, "At 6'4" and 275 lbs., I was safer in the shop than in a bar. Moved back to Mo. and wrenched and ran shops and then moved to Oregon at end of 1995. Retired in 2022. Still love to turn wrenches on my own terms and do not drink any more. I love my girl and love no rust GMT800 trucks, here in Eugene, Or. I love being on the forums and especially this one. If you ever buy that big block Chevy engine, I have for sale, I will be there.
