That quick mention in the article about the Intimidator, I'm reasonably sure that other than the specific cosmetic differences from a Silverado SS, it's the same mechanically as an SS - 100%. Having owned both for many years and only recently sold the Intimidator. Differences between the Silverado SS Intimidator and a Silverado SS - and I'll try to note any non-OEM items just for historical reasons: Badging - Intimidator emblem next to SS emblems on doors, which offsets the normal placement of the SS emblems - (non-OEM items in this pic are the headlights and park lights with the clear reflectors, and grille emblem painted black, would be the normal gold emblem) ... also I am fairly certain the trucks all came with the chrome SS design wheels standard, instead of optional. (The regular SS trucks had these wheels in painted silver and could have optional chrome.) Intimidator emblem on tailgate (tailgate emblem is slightly smaller) again offsets the normal placement of the SS emblem (pic is fresh out of the paint shop but 100% original placement of emblems) - also NASCAR-inspired wing on tailgate, 3 pieces - tailgate and bed corners BTW the Intimidator emblems are a raised emblem with a soft contour, there are fakes out there in the cheap vinyl with the raised clear on top (the kind that melt with heavy sun exposure) and aren't the correct 2 different sizes. The smaller tailgate emblem has been near-unobtainium for several years and I wouldn't be surprised if the door emblems have since followed. Here's a set of originals, pic from seller (many years old) Intimidator SS emblem on dash filler panel (Moon Pie non-OEM item but is best flavor, banana) "Dale Earnhardt" signature image on tachometer DEI logo embroidered on front seat headrests instead of SS logo Grille mesh is silver instead of black (non-OEM items again w/clear reflector lenses, and the chrome grab handle exterior door handles from an Escalade, grille emblem missing) Driver door jamb sticker indicating trademark info for Intimidator logos, signature, etc. just barely visible in this pic, under tire information sticker Certificate of Authenticity - numbered certificate came with all the Intimidators; this one is not from my truck as unfortunately it was lost. Seems to happen with a lot of them, I suspect many stayed with the original owner.
