Okay my buddy had a 99 Silverado that had the info center to the left in the cluster that displayed when the gas was low and other messages. Sort of like a little LED screen. Maybe 2inches square. My 2004 z71 doesn't have this. Just a blank area. What vehicles had this feature in the cluster and could I swap one into my truck and it work? Thanks in advance

In 03+ all information comes up where your odometer is displayed
I'm going to assume it won't work if you tried to put one in your 04 wiring is more than likely different

The clusters are not interchangeable. I think you have the cluster where is just has "idiot lights" you might be able to swap in a newer (05-07c) cluster that has text pop up where the odometer reads but I'm not sure if that would work
