Where I used to work, one of the bosses had a 2009(?) Escalade and rode in it a few times. They are certainly nice.I did have a former coworker with a 2003 or 2004 Tahoe with the 4.8. It had something like 325k when he passed it on to his DIL, and I think the only thing that was replaced that was non-maintenance was one wheel hub. His son eventually divorced the girl and she kept the truck, which by then had another 100k...He's the guy that talked me into keeping my GMT800, back around 2015.The guy bought a new 2017 Silverado to replace the Tahoe, and it had all kinds of issues from the get-go. AC condenser ($1500 and had to wait because parts were backordered for months so had to drive in the summer w/o AC), I can't remember what else, and then the 6L80 transmission went out around 100k. That alone was $5k IIRC. Didn't help that the truck got stolen twice either.
