Howdy Y'all.
New member here, but long time GM truck owner.
I recently acquired this Chevy Suburban C1500 from my dad. He bought this truck new in 02', and as a family we have put 285,000 miles on it.
Towing our boat all through Florida, hauling the family around North Georgia, and now I just drove it across country to Texas.

Looking forward to posting more about this rig soon! PXL_20250721_000719951.jpg

Thanks Tony.

Will be posting a build thread soon. I am planning to turn this into a weekend camper rig.
I heartily approve. My Tahoe is my family camp rig. Bought a little harbor freight trailer for all my gear. 3 dogs, two teens, and my wife all ride in the 'hoe.

Here's a few more pics.

I think the best part about this rig is just how clean it is.

Usually these trucks are clapped out, but this one has been meticulously maintained.

The only thing my dad didn't do was a transmission service (fluid and filter change), which I just did...about 170K miles over due lol. A very commonly overlooked item, which I think is part of the reason the 4L60E gets a bad reputation.

It's bone stock, except I removed the running boards.... I always thought these trucks had too much plastic on them. The side trim is next on the chopping block.1000006920.jpg
