I decided to manually test the mode door lever before installing the new actuator. Unfortunately, manually turning the lever through its full ROM did not change airflow output. Now I’m led to believe the mode door itself is broken. I know the tech approved way to fix this would be to remove the entire dash and access the HVAC box and replace the door. I’d like to avoid that and cut a hole in the bottom of the HVAC box if possible. I’m wondering if anyone has done this before. I cannot find a video or even a forum post about it. Part number 52474961 for the mode door. To be clear, I am NOT asking about the mode door actuator. I’m talking about the mode door itself that sits inside the HVAC box/body/housing.</blockquote>
