Does anyone have a light bars behind the grill? I ordered the fcklightbars bracket and it was just l brackets with no instructions or customer support. I would like to install a single row bar in both the top and bottom grill. Has anyone done this? Can you please share some insight or install pictures for inspiration. It's an 03 1500HD.

That's what I bought. It is literally just 4 L brackets and no instructions. Reached out to the company for weeks and only got requested for pictures of my truck. They never provided pictures of the brackets installed or instructions. Moving to plan B but that picture is my goal.

Why not send pics of the truck?

Not saying you are wrong but the description seems at the very least....decent. Is there bars that would attach to these 4 brackets and then lights on the bars?

I ask because I do not know.

I did send them, I actually used some of the pictures I sent in this post. They are just beefed up standard L brackets. But this post isn't about crapping on them, it's about getting suggestions and hopefully pictures from someone who has done it.

Ok. So there is a bracket at each end of bars? I asked but you did not answer. If you don't bars, perhaps the sellers of bars have instructions.?

Again. The link you sent was not answering my question nor has any of this back and forth. So, do you have any photographs or insight on installing light bars behind the grill of a cat eye? If not, kindly move on.

What specific information are you looking for? Instructions? If the manufacturer is clueless on "instructions," then so are we...

It's an aftermarket light: Drill/tap/screw/arc weld/zip tie/duct tape/WB weld/bubble gum into position and slap it on! LOL

What I am looking for is in my original post.

Others have installed light bars in their grills. I'm sure some have installed 2. This has nothing to do with the brackets I got other than that was my original plan. I'm not trying to be an azz but it appears to be a compression issue here. You have provided nothing productive to this thread.

Good luck with your project Brother. :)

I am going to use the original brackets because they have the teeth to keep them aimed properly and not shift.
So, unless you have returned the new brackets, you have spent $120 for new brackets that you decided not to use. If it allows, you can install star washers, with the new brackets, and use them. Or are the new brackets just not a good fit after all. You stated that all you got was brackets. That is exactly what the ad says at fcklightbars says.

You posted here, as a new member, only on the off chance that one of the members here had already done the leg work for not a single bar of lights behind the 03 1500HD grille but 2 rows of lights. That is a very specific want and I do get your frustration. What is happening is you are getting more and more frustrated because whoever tries to help and not give you a very specific answer, is of no use to you. When I was in the auto repairs shops for 40+ years, I met people like that. A better set of pics, showing the exact problem you are having with the existing or new brackets may help a problem solver member come up with a response/answer. In other words, take a deep breath and help us to help you.

Dismissing people's attempts to help will get you no where. As a 72 year old Vietnam Vet, I have seen a lot in my shops and in my driveway but never your specific question. Sometimes it takes input from a group to solve one specific problem. What I am saying is, cool your jets and mellow the effffff out. Post pics of the specific mechanical problem and use your noggin to figure it out. Maybe some spacers to make either existing set of brackets work.

Again, for now the 2nd time. You have provided nothing at all to this thread. If you must know I tried to return them for over 2 weeks and got no answer. PayPal returned my funds. The brackets are supposed to be a bolt on bracket. I am looking for any lightbars mounted behind the grill. I have already got a workable idea, but I want to see others as someone may have a better idea than I have come up with. You are so hyper focused on fcklightbars I'm beginning to think you are affiliated with them somehow. So please, provide something that actually contributes or move on.

You have provided absolutely no help whatsoever, none. An 03 1500HD will be very similar to any cateye with a single piece grill. My vehicle is a 03 1500hd. Please, move on if you don't have anything productive to add to this, which as of now is nothing.

Now I see why you did not do your first post in Introduction!

Nothing says "problem member" more than....."I want what I want and I want it now!!!!!!!!"

Good luck to you. I really was trying to help but at 72, I don't need headaches from impatience.

No you were not. All you wanted to do is ask why I did or didn't about the brackets. Nothing to actually help. I said in my first post they didn't work.

Holy crap, that attitude will get you no where on this site.
Here great piece of advice. I the post isn't about the bracket you have, then don't mention them. Is sounded like you wanted help with the brackets you had. Maybe next time start with "hey, I want to mount a light bar behind my grill. Has anyone on here do that and if so do you have any pics?".
See how easy that sounds? And you would probably get exactly what you wanted without being rude to people trying to help you.

Good luck
