So I have a 6.0 ls in a 2005 2500hd silverado 4x4. I've lost coolant for a while now thinking a bad head or head gasket. Lost oil pressure one day. So I replaced oil filter and oil. No change. Replaced oil sender unit. No clogged screen or bad sensor. Dropped pan and replaced oil pickup tube o ring. Found major sludge thick black and tarry. Screen was clogged. Cleaned if up and put back together. Still no oil pressure. Found sludge on valve covers and back side of timing cover. Took oil pump off. Didn't look like failure. Would this motor be worth pulling to r and r?
