I always hated that fixed console since I bought the truck. If I dropped something on the passenger floorboard, you have to reach and rub your ribcage on the console. I also deleted the console on my 06 Suburban. My little boy ALWAYS asks if he can ride in the front jumpseat when the Silverado or Suburban is hauling the kiddos for Saturday kids' games. Sometimes it's actually needed for the seat. 6 people on the Silverado extended cab and 9 people on the Suburban (also swapped the middle captain seats for a full width seat on that vehicle.)...recall I have 8 kids! If we all need to go together, we drive the 12 passenger Express G3500 van.</blockquote>
