As a Moderator, you will:
- Monitor forum activity to ensure compliance with community guidelines.
- Report and address rules infractions in a fair and timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all members.
- Move posts and threads to designated areas including work to create a forum Knowledge Base in cooperation with other staff members.
- Greet new members and link them to our Knowledge Base in your welcome message.
- Assist members with their questions and concerns, ensuring they feel supported. Again, this may include a link to specific information in the Knowledge Base relevant to their request.
- Promote positive interactions and engagement within the community.
- Act as a bridge between forum members and the Administrator team.
- Are active members of the forum with a good understanding of its culture and rules.
- Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Are impartial, respectful, and committed to fostering a positive community.
- Can dedicate time consistently to their responsibilities. There is no time requirement to be met. You can easily perform the duties and enjoy your time on the forum as you always have.
Existing forum staff will share their expertise and best practices with you to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the quality of the forum. This includes:
- Informal Training Sessions: Existing staff will conduct informal training sessions at your request to familiarize you with forum guidelines, tools, and procedures.
- Documentation: Provide training documentation relevant to your new role for reference.
- Mentorship: Pairing new staff with experienced members for ongoing support and guidance.
- Message Creation: Staff will provide assistance in creating positive welcoming messages.
