Working on the 2001 K1500 (5.3lt) Yukon tonight and noticed the MAF had a NAPA sticker on it. Anyone had trouble with these? I am thinking of ordering the Delfi just in case.
Did you ask NAPA who makes the brand MAF they sell?Working on the 2001 K1500 (5.3lt) Yukon tonight and noticed the MAF had a NAPA sticker on it. Anyone had trouble with these? I am thinking of ordering the Delfi just in case.
No I haven't, but I have had huge problems with aftermarket parts. For example, my dads 07 K1500 had a vapor purge valve go bad (tested) and I put an aftermarket one on it, lasted a couple months. Ordered a GM one, no problems since. Dozens of these stories, aftermarket is just terrible!Did you ask NAPA who makes the brand MAF they sell?
GM vehicles love GM parts, especially emission and ignition parts. If I substitute it is typically Bosch or Delphi or Denso. So many of GM parts are made by these suppliers. No I haven't, but I have had huge problems with aftermarket parts. Good call. Keep the info coming. It helps so many other members here.Delphi produces TWO maf sensors for these trucks
Do not get the cheaper one, thats the equivalent of aftermarket. I have this one ,it works, but build quality is evident so who knows how accurate
The expensive one is the replacement just like the OEM gm
You could also use a junkyard OEM delphi, and clean the sensor
