I'm a new '99 Silverado owner and also new to this forum. I joined up to learn more about these awesome trucks. That said, I'll go ahead and apologize in advance for all the questions I'm sure I'll have!

So am I, although I don't work in the field anymore as my title is now a project manager, but I keep my journeyman card current. My dad and one of my sons are also electricians.

That is awesome! It’s a very rewarding trade that doesn’t get the credit it deserves for sure. Thanks for sharing! My grandparents home burned to the ground when I was a little boy. The analysis showed it started from a ceiling fan / receptacle circuit and right then I was bound and determined to learn it to keep it from happening to anyone else.
