I'm new to the 800 forum. Actually a 400 transplant - I still have the 98 Silverado but now have a 2000 Silverado as well with 89k miles.
I used 4 low about four weeks ago without any issues. Last week I had the tranny flushed and fluid changed in the t-case by a very knowledgable tranny shop that I've used for over 20 years. I trust them immensely. Today I noticed my shift indicator lights work normally except for neutral - when I shift to neutral, neutral is highlighted for a split second and it quickly moves to reverse then park and then none of the gears are highlighted while I am still in neutral. Every other gear lights up like normal. Now I've noticed 4 low doesn't work and I can't help but think the two issues are related. 4 high and 4 auto seem to be working normally.
Anyone have any insight that may help me out?
