Hi all,
I just picked up a 2006 Suburban LT 4x4 w/ the 5.3 Vortec with 224k miles on the clock. Vehicle is totally rust free, generally in good shape and was a great deal but it's throwing a P0499. Unfortunately it won't pass smog due to this and I'm pretty attached to the nature out here in CO so moving to another state isn't an option. I just replaced the evap purge solenoid on top of the intake manifold and the vent valve solenoid on top of the rear diff (apologies if I'm getting the name of the parts slightly wrong). I opted to stick with the original style on the vent valve where it's cylindrical one piece with the filter included. Pretty easy-breezy R&R but I cleared the code and when I scan the car it's still showing a pending P0499. Tried scanning with my Autel and it's not showing anything further than that.
I'm not finding much information online other than suggestions to replace the two things I already did. Could anyone give me some input on what may be wrong here?
