Why doesn’t the PNW have rust issues? Y’all get snow right? Y’all just use sand, no salt or brine ?

Sand on roads except for a brine in some of the passes. No salt that I know of but gov officials can change at any time. I know a "coast" vehicle when you see the salt residue on parts under the hood. Salt in the air on the coast. Except for altitude snows, here in the valley we hardly ever get snow or ice. Does not drop below freezing usually. We can be 60*-70* at the valley floor and we can drive up to snow. Hardly ever gets real hot here, either. Low humidity and lower temps. If gets above 85*, it is usually for short periods of time.

There are desert areas east of us and south, closer to Ca. it can get really hot in the summertime. As I grew up, I lived in and around KC, Mo. Hot and humid and can have some very cold and snowy/icy winters. My dad was an owner/operator truck driver and I went with him "alot". Every time we traveled to the PNW, I loved it and swore to myself that one day I would live here. I ran shops in KC, Mo. and put my resume out thru IATN-International Automotive Technician's Network. Interviewed in Co. but did not like it and held out. Then I got a hit on my resume from a shop in Eugene, Or. They flew me out and put me up at a hotel and we talked and they made me an offer. I went home and sold my house within 30 days and headed west. I moved here in 1995 and never looked back. Can drive to the mountains or coast or desert and temps/humidity suit me.

The weather is great but you have to deal with rain. No thunderous downpours and hail like in the Midwest but can rain in some form or another for days on end. Lots of green out here. The thing that really helped sell the place was my first dealings with vehicles in the shops. NO RUST. It is Nirvana.

Curious what the engine hours are in this, great starting point for an adventure rig

Snow here means the entire place shuts down. The few cars out there on the streets think they are driving bumper cars and smashing into anything and everything. SMH
Same here. About once a winter, we get a dusting of snow and no one seems to know how to drive in it. If we get over an 1", the city comes to a halt.

seller confirmed 4293.6 engine hours (on 41k miles) - slow driving around the Air Force base and some idling.. i was expecting higher hours i don't think that's too bad
