The more I drive the new to me 2004 K2500HD crew cab 6.0 truck, the more I am curious about. Starts just fine and no problems at idle. When just as start to accel from stop, there is a very very slight exhaust vibration feel/sound at the rear and goes away as accel harder/faster. It does not sound/feel like a shield. I just thought that other owners here might be aware of a certain resonance in the older stock exhaust system. I will be getting under for an inspection but thought I would post here first to see if there is something like this that someone else says, "Always does this or that because of this or that". Thanks in advance.

I think this calls for long tube headers and true duals with an X pipe. :)

With my stick exhaust on my 04 5.3 I never had the vibration.
However, after my new muffler install I do have it when in Drive and stopped (sometimes)

I found it’s one of my hangers that’s been worn out. Haven’t ordered new ones but may be of interest to you to crawl under and inspect.

That's a good point, I have had a lot of problems with worn out hangers in the past. And aftermarket hangers, don't even get me started on that garbage.

The vibes/noise is very minor and I will be crawling under to inspect soon, when the weather turns warmer. Plus, I need a second person to power brake while I am under there.

Back when I first got my 04 (2016), I noticed a slight vibration upon accelerating just under drivers floor mat. Something else I’d was that the stock exhaust pipe set 3 inches outside of the bed. Muffler shop told me that someone had probably backed into something catching the exhaust pipe and bending it further upstream. It was never bad enough for me to dig into it further.

A couple years ago, I finally got rid of the stock muffler and installed a stainless 3 inch Cherry Bomb Salute in its place. Other than the muffler, the exhaust is still stock from exhaust manifolds to the 3 inch shortened tailpipe. Every now and then, I can still feel that vibration under my feet. I’m thinking it is between the manifold and cat or between cat and mid pipe before muffler.
