I have had my clusters replaced on my 2005 Tahoe Z71 and my 2004 Silverado K2500HD, from a company called Digital Dash Solutions with never a problem and they always needed my VIN to set the cluster up for my truck and they needed my mileage, so they could put correct mileage on the new cluster. It sounds like you MAY have communication problems or if is a used cluster, you MAY have installed a gauges working cluster but an inop speedometer.</blockquote>
