I'm right up against the $5k mark for the beater power adder class. This year there was a lot of "you have more money in it than that" when the judgement is supposed to be what the car is worth on the open market. Ultimately they liked my car and noticed a lot of the little touches. The car was built to have fun and maybe surprise a few people. It definitely did that.
