Message: <blockquote data-quote="someotherguy" data-source="post: 21207" data-attributes="member: 6178">Man, he really got in depth with the theory at one point and it was a great watch - I usually can't pay attention through longer videos with most guys that just babble around and have poor presentation.  He's different, by far.It's great to see someone use the information you can get from OBD2 diags but also the physical testing using the gauge.  I'm pretty sure I'll be doing that part very soon with my '94 since of course I don't have the benefit of OBD2 to show me any other info.  I've got slightly rough running, lack of power, but the #1 symptom that I noticed the moment I first started the truck - rotten egg smell from the exhaust, which has the original pellet bed style converter.He's spot-on about the factory pre-made cat/pipe combo being stupid expensive, and also not necessary.  A universal style cat can be installed for under $200 in most situations.  I think the shop I had replace a rattling/blown cat on my '06 SS only charged me $150.It's funny when he wraps up because although he didn't personally "fix" the vehicle, he did far more than all the other prior attempts.  It'd be nice to see a follow-up but I have faith he did correctly diagnose the issue, and the replacement cat will solve it.Richard</blockquote>
