Message: <blockquote data-quote="someotherguy" data-source="post: 20368" data-attributes="member: 6178">Sounds like the "VHO" truck, basically GMC's version of the Silverado SS, minus the body kit stuff.  The SS's were AWD from 2003-2005 but in 2005 RWD became available as well.  In 2006 they were RWD only.  Still on the 4x4 chassis with the torsion bars up front instead of coil springs like a regular RWD truck has.  The RWD SS's also got the hybrid rear axle (14 bolt 9.5" semifloater)Have you run your VIN through the free decoder at GMPartsgiant?  Might shed some light on the packages.  <a href="https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/vin-decoder.html" target="_blank">https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/vin-decoder.html</a>Richard</blockquote>
