With our new to us truck. There will never ever be a travel trailer attached to it. They are great for some and serve a purpose and people have fun with them. I worked in shops for 40+ years and 30+ was as a service manager/advisor/writer. I even wrote service for Monaco Motorhomes at one time, in Harrisburg, Or. Monaco main plant was just down the highway in Coburg, Or. I wrote service for Class A and the trailers. I grew to hate them all. Never made as they should have been and IMO, very cheaply made. The people/owners that I dealt with were 80% turds and 20% ok. They could come in for service. I would write up their concerns. That night, in the camp lot where they were all at overnight, they would talk to each other and "gotta keep up with the Jones's" and if someone was in for a problem, all of a sudden, the next morning, a bunch of them had the same problems and wanted to add work to their service ticket. Each week was like that. each and every single efffffffin' week. Give me an enclosed cargo trailer and let me build it the way I want. Give me a car hauler trailer and I will tow all day long but approach me about hauling a travel trailer and I will throw rocks at you. Also, towing with the wrong size hauler is against the law. Tow with the correct rig/truck.
