    Rally stripes

I had some minor clear coat starting to fail on top of the drivers door so I decided to add some life to the truck instead of getting it painted. Wrapped the top portion and added some rally stripes to match. Used a good quality material.

I know there was a factory memo but I’m not sure where it is. I have done it a few times myself.

    HVAC Controls

I’d do a OEM one on eBay and then do the re-sync procedure for your actuators. Silverado, remove the HVAC/ECAS-10A fuse for a minute, replace it, then cycle the ignition (on for 10 seconds, off, repeat three times), start the truck, and set the HVAC controls to a neutral position (72°F or auto...

    Lesson learned

I was replacing the fan relay and fan motor and was able to reach it from there. I used a coil cleaner and hosed it out. Actually worked great besides me leaving that part off. I cut the wet under carpet insulation and put in new stuff. It wouldn’t dry.

    Lesson learned

I decided to clean my AC coils last week and sprayed them with a coil cleaner and flushed it out. The little rubber boot was kinda clogged at the firewall so I thought I’d just leave it off. Well that was a huge mistake, that boot must have something to do with back pressure and allowing the...

    Coil wire harness.

Yes, that’s the stuff. I bought a few different sizes from harbor freight.

    Coil wire harness.

I did the whole harness on the one side. But I’m going to do the other side now. I also replaced the brittle wire loom in the engine bay.

    2000 Silverado z71 refurb

I changed mine out today along with the resister. I’ve been smelling a slight burning smell when running the fan on high. Turned out to be the wires at the resister so I just changed them both. I couldn’t located a AC Delco one so I found this one on Amazon. It’s quieter than the one I had and...

    Coil wire harness.

I replaced the whole harness with a new one. I did take the old one apart but didn’t see any broken wires but it was very stiff and brittle feeling. I’ll probably do the other side now as well.

    Coil wire harness.

Problem solved BTW, it was the wire harness not the coil causing the code. I replaced the harness and the check engine light is gone.

    Coil wire harness.

    How do I do that?

    Coil wire harness.

Thank you, that’s what I thought but wanted to make sure. Yes only AC Delco but I wonder sometimes how good these parts are. I think the wire harness is the only part I didn’t replace yet, most of it was preventative but I went through the top end pretty good a few months back. The wires do seem...

    Coil wire harness.

Quick question, are the coil wire harness the same for passenger and drivers side? Truck is 2005 LM7 5.3. Been getting a random p0358 code and changed that coil twice now. I believe it goes away from me moving the wires around now. I swapped the coils as well with cylinders and still getting it.

Gauge cluster replacement...no sure where to post.

That’s exactly what my voltage one did, the kit with all new lights, stepper motors and even the tools needed was just 30.00 on amazon. I watched a few videos on YouTube first.

Gauge cluster replacement...no sure where to post.

No just the cluster. I replaced all the bulbs and step motors. My AC control was also acting up and tried a Dorman from Amazon that didn’t work so well so I bought the exact model on eBay for 50.00 and works perfect.
