    Driveshaft Carrier Bearing

I replaced the one on my 1999 1500 and I honestly can't remember how much play it had, I just remember moving it and it "felt" like it was excessive. My truck had like 260k then and it was the original one.

Verifying that these rims fit & thoughts on looks

Oh, ok. Yeah, I also replaced the EBCM on my truck a few years ago. I didn't get it reprogrammed tho. I just deleted the ABS/Brake codes and they didn't come back on. Been driving her all over the place now. Will the dealership even try to do this programing if this document says this: "General...

Verifying that these rims fit & thoughts on looks

Interesante. I'd never heard of this. I'm pretty sure the ABS works just fine on my GMT800s that's I've changed the axle ratio and/or tire size. Speedometers are on point as well...

    Keep driving your GMT800s?

Oh dang. Didn't know there was such a thing, but I kinda like it. I'm gonna have to check it out... :)

ABS/Brake light "Service Brake System" message on cluster & C0245 when truck reaches 35-40 mph

Are all your tires the same size? If for some reason tires are different size, the vehicles goes bananas. I put a larger tire on our 13 Chrysler minivan because it had a flat tire, and as soon as I took off heading to the tire shop, the brake and ABS lights turned on. I was trying to chase...

Verifying that these rims fit & thoughts on looks

I believe my truck's OEM tires are 225/75/16 IIRC. Isn't that what your door tag shows @mars2878 ? That would make the speedometer more off? Although you said you are getting that recalibrated. Your overall gear final ratio will also be affected. You have 3.42 gears I'm guessing?

Verifying that these rims fit & thoughts on looks

I'm kinda skeptical you can fit a 33" outside diameter on your truck, but I may be wrong? You can mail in your ECU to get recalibrated to the tire diameter. LT1swap.com used to charge like $75 for that, not sure how much it is now. Or befriend someone with HP Tuners, although you need $100 for...

    Keep driving your GMT800s?

Was that a joke? I guess I don't really get it? But then again, I'm a foreigner so I don't get some jokes sometimes, LOL.

Verifying that these rims fit & thoughts on looks

What size are the 2025 tires? I believe my brother is running some 20s on his 2000 RCSB 1500 2wd, but IDK what size they are? Google/AI says the largest tire diameter you can run on a stock 2000 Silverado 1500 2wd is between 31.6" to 31.7". You always use one of those coil spring donut spacer...

    I need tires

I have bought 2 sets of Coopers within the last 5 years: 2006 Suburban 2500 LT265/75/16 bought in like 2021? I need to double check to see how many miles I've put on them and measure them, but at least 30k, maybe more. 2020 Express 3500 passenger van LT245/75/16 bought last Fall I will buy...

    Stutaeng's 1999 Silverado

Ah, dang it! What happened to my message?! Edit: Well, here's the story: I swapped these pieces back when I deleted my console (thinking that they were different console vs non-console.) The replacement piece has a fold-down cupholder and have some scuffs on the globe box. I pulled out my...

P225/75/16, right? I was running some LT265/75/16 when I still had the V6. When I swapped to the 5.3/4L80e I got the correct tire size on the tune. Last year I did the big front brake upgrade and had swapped to P265/65/18 from a 14-18 Tahoe. There's some online calculators you can play around...

    Work out of my garage/driveway

Oh, cool! What does fluttering on the oil pressure mean? I remember looking that up once, and all recall was that it was a bad sign, but can't remember why?

Unless you throw a radical cam and push it beyond like 5,000 RPM, probably no need for the larger injectors and the larger TB. But it would probably look cool. My truck has 3.42 as well. Yes, the 80e does have a lower first gear, but the gear ratios are closer together, so I think it makes up...
