    Cab Marker Light mounting Template

Welcome to the forum! Sorry, I don't have a template. From what I've seen, most people just put them where they like them. To my eye, the outer markers are one light length back from the windshield, and the center light is a little more forward so that the tops of all the lenses are the same...

    Grandpa's '92 Dakota

Old pump was toast. We did get it fired after a wicked fuel leak. Noisy lifter. Quieted down a bit after an rev-up tune up. Pulled the upper accessory bracket so we could get at the bypass hose. New water pump, thermostat, and housing. Bypass hose is next, along with the missing heater...

    Better reverse lighting ...

Lots of people have put them in the end cap of the Z71 roof rack. They kinda face down, too. Looks sharp.

    1999 1500 RCLB 2WD Rear Brake Issues

You're correct about swelling, which is why I suggested motorcycle cable lube if it was going to be done. Those are formulated to prevent breakdown.

Some loose 3/4" sockets can be around 19.5mm too. I've done that on some that are slightly swollen.

    1999 1500 RCLB 2WD Rear Brake Issues

Cable lube is common in the motorcycle world. You can use it, but it shouldn't be needed. The parking brake springs should be sufficient. If they aren't your shoes are hung up in the drum. Pull the wheel and give it some tippy-taps with a hammer on the hat. See if that frees it up. Pull the...

    Grandpa's '92 Dakota

Short term is to get it running. Eventually want to swap a LS variant into it and make a quick little street truck. It has a 6.5' bed. The pic is a strange perspective, but it is a few inches longer than the Tahoe.

    Grandpa's '92 Dakota

Sometime around '92, my Grandpa bought a new '92 Dakota. I went on a bunch of fishing trips with him in it. Always kept his fishing gear in the camper shell. The back always smelled of used tackle. He drove it pretty much exclusively until he passed in 2015. My cousin ended up with it and...

Rear Window Washer Pump Question (Tahoe / Burb)

In other news, I just ordered a Silverado tank to replace the one in my Tahoe. Doing away with the rear altogether.

Rear Window Washer Pump Question (Tahoe / Burb)

I think you're right. But 1/4" should work.

Rear Window Washer Pump Question (Tahoe / Burb)

I believe so. You can repair the crack with fuel line. Cut at the crack, slide the fuel line over and use that as an outside repair. Not the greatest fix, but easy.

Rock Auto Discount Codes-Post 'em Up

Thanks for the codes. I had to have my parts sent to a friend out of state since the AZ Department of Revenue decided to try to swing summer sausage at Rock Auto.

Amazon Window Switch fail, cleaned OEM (Now with pics!)

Makes sense. Not so much out here in the desert southwest, I'd think. But I would definitely try cracking it open and taking a look. It wouldn't surprise me if there was obvious corrosion. Might be lucky enough for it to be in a place that can be cleaned.

Amazon Window Switch fail, cleaned OEM (Now with pics!)

If cleaning doesn't work, it is also possible to repair the pads on the membrane. I haven't done it with these switches, but I have with others. You can replace the conductive pad. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSBQSSB1/

Amazon Window Switch fail, cleaned OEM (Now with pics!)

8 snap hooks around the perimeter hold the housing together. After you remove the bottom cover, you will see the first PCB. It is simply supported by pegs and has an easy dupont style interboard connection. It just lifts out. The inner PCB is the "difficult" one to remove. It has 8 clips...

Amazon Window Switch fail, cleaned OEM (Now with pics!)

It is actually one switch body. It is held together with the clips on the other side. They are clearly visible. There's no need to mess with the mechanical switches at the top, so take it apart upside down. It came apart easily. IIRC, the PCB was held in with little clips as well, but the same...

Amazon Window Switch fail, cleaned OEM (Now with pics!)

My OEM window switch was no longer sending the driver's window down automatically. It hasn't worked since before I got it, so I didn't even know it was a thing until the passenger one went all the way down with just a bump. Got an Amazon replacement and installed it. Sad trombone noise. The...

    2003 6.0 2500 burban. With knock.

Welcome to the group! I've got a little lifter tick, but goes away pretty quick on start. I think I also have an exhaust leak now, which doesn't help. As to oil pressure, at idle my Tahoe can go down to 25. It's almost never above 50, even under load. I pulled my Camaro from Phoenix to Tucson...
